A bold and creamy dressing for any bowl or salad. My dad, who hates nut based dressings and dips, says this is his all time favorite dressing I have ever made, so I hope you love it too! A great departure for those who want a non-cashew creamy dressing.
CREAMY SUNFLOWER SEED CHIVE DRESSING
✔️ 5 Minutes ✔️ Nut Free ✔️ Weight Loss Friendly ✔️ Makes 3/4 cups
INGREDIENTS
• 1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds
• Juice of 1 medium lemon, or more to taste
• 1 garlic clove
• 1 tablespoon chickpea miso OR white miso paste
• 1/3 to 1/2 cup water
• Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
• 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
• Pinch of cayenne pepper
Add all of the ingredients (except the chives and cayenne) to a high speed blender. Blend until creamy. Start with the 1/3 cup of water and add more by the tablespoon until you reach your desired consistency. Then stir in the fresh chives and cayenne pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
NOTE: Stores well in a glass container with lid for up to 5 days.
