EASY AND HEALTHY CRANBERRY SAUCE RECIPE

Welcome to the fifth and final recipe in my Vegan Thanksgiving Recipe Series. A super easy, and healthy cranberry sauce made from fresh cranberries. Cranberries are a wonderful antioxidant packed food to include in your diet, and here is an easy and very tasty way to include them. INGREDIENTS


1/2 cup fresh orange juice

1/4 cup water

1/4 - 1/2 cup maple syrup (depending on your desired sweetness)

16 oz. fresh cranberries

desired amount of lemon zest (freshly grated)


In a medium saucepan add the orange juice, water, and maple syrup and bring to a boil.


Add in the cranberries and turn to low. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the cranberries are soft.


Remove from heat and stir in the lemon zest. Set aside covered, or refrigerate until ready to serve. Garnish with more lemon zest when served if desired.
